Companies frequently welcome a varied mix of part-time, full-time, and freelance workers in today's dynamic work the environment. Because each group has unique advantages and disadvantages, efficient management techniques are required to increase output and promote a positive workplace culture. This blog delves into the technicalities of overseeing these different employee types and offers guidance on establishing a peaceful and effective work environment.

Definition

Part-time employment is a form of employment that carries fewer hours per week than a full-time job. Part-time employers offer jobs with reduced hours, typically between 20 and 35 hours per week (Randstad, 2022).

Full-time employment is a form of employment in which an employee works a standard number of hours, typically 35-40 hours per week, and receives all the benefits and privileges that come with being a full-time employee (Doyle, 2022).

Freelance workers are self-employed individuals who offer their services to multiple clients or employers without being permanently employed by any single organization (Pofeldt, 2017).

Benefits of workplace diversity include:

Happier employees

Lower employee turnover rate

2.5x more cash flow per employee

35% increase in productivity

More engaged employees (who are happy to take part in diversity training to increase their awareness)
